Mattos Filho hires new partner focused on infrastructure and arbitration

Mattos Filho has announced that Caio Gabra has joined the firm as a partner in its Infrastructure & Energy and Litigation & Arbitration practice areas. With a proven track record advising on infrastructure, energy, construction, and dispute resolution matters in Brazil and abroad, Gabra is set to strengthen Mattos Filho’s services at a time when the infrastructure sector is becoming increasingly complex and demand grows for integrated counsel on strategic projects and arbitration. With Gabra’s arrival, Mattos Filho now has 143 partners.

Global experience in complex projects
Gabra previously practiced at Mattos Filho for six years before moving to the Middle East in 2023. While there, he spent a significant part of his career advising on infrastructure projects around the world, including in the Middle East, the United States, and Europe. This experience broadened his expertise in complex contractual structures, risk management, and dispute resolution in connection with strategic projects.

Caio is internationally recognized, having been ranked by Who’s Who Legal from 2019 to 2023 and named a Global Thought Leader by the publication. Gabra holds a law degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and an LL.M. in International Economic Law from Stanford Law School.
