Mattos Filho has released the second edition of Pulso, an integrated report that reinforces the firm’s commitment to transparency with clients, business partners, and civil society. The report highlights Mattos Filho’s strong growth during 2024 – 14% when compared to the previous year, reaching BRL 1.7 billion in revenue. A pioneer in disclosing annual results in Brazil, Mattos Filho remains the only Brazilian full-service law firm to disclose its gross revenue.
Pulso also addresses the outlook and trends for 2025, as well as social and environmental initiatives that have positioned Mattos Filho as one of Latin America’s most respected law firms. With 2024 providing a challenging environment for business, the firm’s results were only possible due to its services being evenly spread across litigation, transactional, and regulatory matters, as well as a business model that focuses on collaboration between partners and practice areas to offer clients innovative, outstanding service.
“2024 was marked by several macroeconomic challenges, but thanks to our people and our focus on efficiency and excellent service, we were able to make the most of numerous business development opportunities to offer customized solutions to different sectors of the market,” highlighted Mattos Filho’s managing partner, Pedro Whitaker de Souza Dias.
Excellence, innovation and socio-environmental commitments
With content in text and video, Pulso includes exclusive legal analyses from the firm’s partners on key topics of 2024 that should continue to impact business in Brazil in 2025. These include Brazil’s large-scale consumption tax reforms, the new Gender Pay Parity Law, the sports betting market, the scenario for judicial reorganization, and the revival of the M&A market, among others.
2024 also saw Mattos Filho celebrate 25 years of its pioneering pro bono work in Brazil, which began with a desire to help democratize access to justice in Brazil and defend human rights. In commemorating this milestone, the firm announced a partnership with the Strategic Human Rights Litigation Clinic at leading Brazilian law school FGV Direito SP, which aims to modernize public interest advocacy in Brazil. It also released the third edition of the book Human Rights in Evidence, a collaborative effort from the Mattos Filho 100% Pro Bono team that compiles analysis and research on topics such as gender violence, sexual and reproductive rights, and public security rights.
