Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program is structured on five pillars – gender equity, LGBTQIAP+ rights, racial equity, disability rights, and religious freedom, which are supported by six separate affinity groups.
Diversity and inclusion
Innovative volunteering empowers people and generates a positive social impact. Mova, our corporate volunteering program, fosters our professionals' social awareness and encourages action that reflects the firm's positive contribution to society. More than 360 of our professionals are currently involved in on-site and virtual volunteering efforts, both in Brazil and abroad, through partnerships with civil society organizations from different sectors.
We have signed up to the United Nations Business Ambition for 1.5°C: Our Only Future campaign, establishing the goal of zeroing our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050. We are also part of the Net Zero Lawyers Alliance, a group of leading international law firms that mobilizes and collaborates to tackle climate change.

Every year, Instituto Mattos Filho selects and rewards Brazilian initiatives that promote improved access to justice, civic responsibility, and the defense of democracy and human rights. In its first four editions, the Access to Justice Challenge has already distributed BRL 640,000 to 17 winning initiatives.
