Part of the firm’s social ecosystem, the Corporate Citizenship area represents our commitment to social responsibility, mobilizing our professionals to take part in important social and environmental actions. We carry out several initiatives with positive impacts for both the firm and society, partnering with social and cultural institutions to promote civic responsibility and build a more equal and just society.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Program

We know that transformation starts from the inside out, and as such, our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion program reinforces our commitment to attracting, developing and retaining diverse and talented professionals. In our commitment to promoting a better work environment for all, we have developed specific institutional policies toward equality, creating six affinity groups linked to the five pillars that make up the program – gender equity, LGBTQIAP+ rights, racial equity, rights of people with disabilities, and religious freedom.

Diversity and inclusion

Mova - corporate volunteering program

Making a positive social and environmental impact requires going beyond providing financial assistance. Mova, our corporate volunteering program, runs internal campaigns and activities that professionals from the firm can participate in to develop new skills and create bonds with people in need. Via in-person and online initiatives, volunteers participate in actions related to education, human rights, citizenship, gender equity, the LGBTQIAP+ population, refugees, the elderly, and people in situations of homelessness.

Environmental commitments

Climate change is a global concern and calls for urgent action. For this reason, we are committed to reducing our impact on the environment and promoting environmental awareness among our professionals. The firm has already signed up to the United Nations Business Ambition for 1.5°C: Our Only Future campaign, establishing the goal of zeroing our greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. We are also part of the Net Zero Lawyers Alliance, a group of leading international law firms that mobilizes and collaborates to tackle climate change.

Support for UN initiatives

The desire we have to make a difference in society knows no limits. Our concerns with civil responsibility, human rights, and building a more sustainable world also manifest through our support for a number of United Nations initiatives. In 2008, we were one of the first Brazilian law firms to sign up to the Global Compact, working toward the 2030 Agenda and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We have also joined campaigns like HeForShe and Free & Equal, the Women's Empowerment Principles and Standards of Business Conduct. Finally, we also participate in corporate racial and gender equity initiatives within the Global Compact Network Brazil, such as Equidade é Prioridade (Equity is Priority).
