Experience

Luis began his career at Mattos Filho in 2011 as an intern, becoming a senior associate in 2020 and a partner in 2026. His focus includes advising domestic and foreign companies, financial institutions, and investment funds, with expertise in acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, and business combinations, spanning both private equity transactions and strategic players.

 

He frequently works with clients including XP Asset Management, Vision One, Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), Vinci Concessions, ArcelorMittal, Ferrara Candy Company, and Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC).

 

Luis has also served as a foreign associate in Sullivan & Cromwell LLP’s New York office and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Brazilian Elite firm Mattos Filho has bolstered several practice areas by promoting six lawyers to partnership in its São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro offices.

The firm announced the promotions of Bárbara Carnevalli, Luciana Cordeiro, Luis Bologna, Marcela Freire and Pedro Falcone in São Paulo today, at the same time that it revealed that Vanessa Frota had joined its Rio office.
