Vanessa is experienced in litigation and arbitration, advising and representing clients in complex, high-stakes corporate and commercial disputes. She has assisted Brazilian and international clients in court proceedings and arbitrations, including multi-jurisdictional cases, with a focus on corporate matters, M&A disputes, disputes arising from public concessions, infrastructure projects, and the oil and gas sector.
Between 2025 and 2026, Vanessa worked at Vinson & Elkins in New York as a foreign visiting attorney in the Complex Commercial Litigation practice, particularly with the international arbitration team.

Brazilian Elite firm Mattos Filho has bolstered several practice areas by promoting six lawyers to partnership in its São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro offices.
The firm announced the promotions of Bárbara Carnevalli, Luciana Cordeiro, Luis Bologna, Marcela Freire and Pedro Falcone in São Paulo today, at the same time that it revealed that Vanessa Frota had joined its Rio office.
