Experience

A specialist in Brazilian Central Bank and National Monetary Council regulations, Fábio is experienced in handling highly complex projects within the banking and finance sector and has a background working in financial and payment institutions.

His expertise covers authorization procedures with the Brazilian Central Bank (creating regulated institutions, change of ownership, corporate reorganizations, among others), M&As and securities offerings involving regulated institutions, structuring financial products, foreign exchange and international capital regulations, Central Bank-related oversight. He also advises on a wide array of topics within the Brazilian Central Bank and National Monetary Council’s jurisdiction, including traditional financial institutions, credit fintechs, payment institutions and payment arrangement institutions, financial market infrastructures, virtual assets and virtual asset service providers, PIX instant payments, OpenFinance, capital requirements for regulated institutions, and derivatives.

Fábio also has experience in cross-border and domestic financial transactions, bilateral and syndicated financing, trade finance (import and export), debt restructurings, debt financial products and issuances of foreign bonds.
