Ariane Guimarães


Ariane defends the interests of companies and economic sectors before the Brazilian Supreme Court and the Superior Court of Justice, as well in regional courts and forums in the Midwest and Northwest. She also provides advisory support to customers about the impact of judicial decisions to her clients businesses and represent their agenda within the Executive (such as the Ministry of Economy) and Legislative (such as the National Council of Finance Policy – CONFAZ and the National Congress) about issues with tax impact throughout the country. She is the director of the Subcommittee on Tax Reform for the Federal District Section of the Brazilian Bar Association for the 2019-2021 period, and the vice-president of the Legal Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce. Professor of Tax Law at the University Center of Brasilia (UniCEUB), she is the founder and coordinator of the Group of Studies and Research in Tax Law (GEPAT). She is also the founder of Elas Pedem Vista, a group which discusses current topics of women's action and representation in the legal market.
