In a career spanning over 20 years, Adriano has attained significant experience in both the domestic and international mining sectors. Adriano specializes in mineral policy and regulation of the mining sector, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, financing, and ESG-related issues relevant to mining, including environmental matters and community issues. Being based at the firm's office in Brasilia allows Adriano to closely monitor legal matters involving the sector's regulatory bodies, such as the National Mining Agency (ANM).
Both a graduate and professor at the University of Brasilia (UnB), Adriano holds a master's degree in Natural Resource Law & Policy (Distinction) from the University of Dundee – Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law Policy (CEPMLP), in the United Kingdom. He regularly teaches courses in mineral law and policy at Brazilian and foreign institutions and has also integrated training initiatives in the same area for governments of other countries.
