Mattos Filho is recognized for its pro bono achievements with a Latin Lawyer award

For the fifth year running, Mattos Filho was selected as one of the firms most committed to strengthening the practice of free legal services in Latin America. The Pro Bono Leading Lights award, promoted by the British publication Latin Lawyer in partnership with the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice, assessed the region's firms with the aim of highlighting their contributions to encouraging and developing the pro bono culture in Latin America.

In line with the firm's growth strategy for 2016, its Pro Bono Program was reformulated to reach new levels of service. A wholly exclusive, dedicated coordinator redefined its main action areas: strengthening civil societies, promoting the defense of human rights and refining public governance. This year, with the Pro Bono Program celebrating its 17th anniversary, we have dedicated more than 5,700 hours to providing free legal services.
