The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás Natural e Biocombustíveis - ”ANP”), released the preliminary tender protocol and the drafts of the agreements related to the 6th Bidding Round for exploration blocks under the production sharing regime. The bid is scheduled to take place on November 7, 2019.

ANP also announced that it will hold a Public Hearing on May 10, 2019. Stakeholders shall send their contributions to the Agency until 5 pm on May 6, 2019.

Five blocks of high potential in the Santos and Campos basins will be offered: Aram, Bumerangue, Cruzeiro do Sul, Sudoeste de Sagitário and Norte de Brava.

Additional information regarding the 6th Production Sharing Bidding Round, including the procedures for registration at the Public Hearing and submission of contributions are available on the ANP website, on this link.

Petrobras exercised its right of first refusal in relation to the areas of Aram, Sudoeste de Sagitário and Norte de Brava and, therefore, will be the operator of those areas with a mandatory participating interest of at least thirty percent (30%).

The Cruzeiro do Sul, Sudoeste de Sagitário and Norte de Brava blocks contain reservoir that extend to adjacent areas that are under concession agreement (unitized areas), and thus will be subject to a process of individualization of the production (unitization) of oil and natural gas.
